BOULDER, Colo. -- [February 8, 2011] - Ned McClain, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of AppliedTrust, has been named to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley Board of Directors effective January 1, 2011.
“As a strong believer in the mission of the Humane Society, it's an honor to be named to the Board and have the opportunity to contribute to the organization in a more strategic manner,” noted McClain. “I’m looking forward to being a part of this wonderful organization that has done so much to improve the lives of companion animals in Boulder and the surrounding communities over the years.”
AppliedTrust is a long-time sponsor of annual Humane Society events such as the “Puttin’ on the Leash” and “Cause for Paws Walk-a-thon.” In 2002, AppliedTrust received the Humane Society’s Distinguished Service Award for its efforts in upgrading and improving the organization’s technology infrastructure, with the goal of making the Humane Society Web site, www.boulderhumane.org, more efficient and more secure. Currently, AppliedTrust is helping the organization to implement online registration for the Humane Society’s training and behavioral center.
“We’re very excited to have Ned join the Board,” noted Lisa Pedersen, the Humane Society of Boulder Valley’s Chief Executive Officer. “AppliedTrust has been a huge supporter of the Humane Society for many years, both by sponsoring our events and by donating time and resources for technical support as we upgrade and enhance our IT infrastructure, and we’re looking forward to gaining Ned’s leadership at the Board level,” she added.
