AppliedTrust’s Trent R. Hein Serves as Panelist at Local Healthcare Compliance Conference

BOULDER, Colo. -- [February 11, 2011] - AppliedTrust co-founder and CEO Trent R. Hein was a panelist at the 2011 Compliance Conference of the Colorado Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), held February 10-11, 2011, in Lonetree, Colo.
 
Hein's panel addressed the topic of Emerging IT Concerns for Compliance Officers, including top compliance concerns for HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act), PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance enforcement, recent security breach trends, and the Health Information Exchange (HIE), which involves the mobilization of healthcare information electronically across organizations within a hospital system, community or region. Other panelists included Mary Anne Leach, Vice President and CIO of The Children’s Hospital of Denver and Steve Hess, CIO of the University of Colorado Hospital. The panel was facilitated by Ellen E. Stewart, Esq., from Berenbaum Weinshienk PC.
