As a longtime technical writer at AppliedTrust, Beth has many years of experience compiling, editing, and proofreading content for security assessments, security policies and other client deliverables, as well as for internal publications. In addition to making sure all documents are grammatically correct and conform to the house style or client-specific style, Beth also ensures content is presented in an appropriate manner based on the document audience’s level of technical understanding. Although Beth has been known to start twitching at the sight of a misplaced modifier or a lack of subject-verb agreement in a document, she considers it job security.
Prior to joining AppliedTrust, Beth worked as a technical editor for a company that developed custom computer- and Web- based training and multimedia programs for a variety of organizations. She also has extensive project management experience. She has a B.A. in Psychology from Middlebury College, and an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Outside of work Beth enjoys hiking, traveling, and avoiding high-fructose corn syrup. Her local volunteer efforts include taking the minutes for monthly Humane Society of Boulder Valley Board of Directors meetings and teaching ESL through Boulder-based Intercambio Uniting Communities.
