BOULDER, Colo. -- [April 14, 2011] – AppliedTrust co-founder and CEO Trent R. Hein was the featured speaker at the April meeting of the Northern Colorado Linux User’s Group (NCLUG), held April 12 in Fort Collins, Colo. The presentation topic was Linux-based Drupal, the premier content management and application programming interface.
“It was great to have the opportunity to show off this wonderfully diverse development platform to fellow Linux enthusiasts,” noted Hein. “The level of excitement surrounding Drupal and all of its potential these days is not unlike that for Linux back in the late 1990s, right down to the fact that, like Linux, it’s free,” he added.
Hein’s presentation explored the basics of Drupal, including how the platform’s modular design allows for great flexibility and makes it a great choice for integrating diverse tools such as ticketing systems, content management, support forums, and blogs under a unified framework.
NCLUG meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at College America in Fort Collins.
