Although Dan grew up in Texas, his true identity comes from Colorado, as he received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dan takes pride in being a CU alumnus and tries hard to never miss a home Buffs football game!
Dan started his career at IBM, supporting the international disbursements finance department. He slowly integrated himself into supporting the business team's technical needs, which helped prepare him for becoming an IT consultant at AppliedTrust. Dan joined AppliedTrust as an intern while in college and became a full-time employee after graduating. He focuses on Linux server support, server/system hardening and monitoring, and network vulnerability scanning.
Outside of work Dan likes to travel, snowboard, hike and camp with his dog, Daisy, and generally enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. So far Dan has traveled to Greece, Thailand, Ireland, and Africa; he hopes to make Argentina his next stop.
