Jim spent his formative years in bustling southern California, before moving to Telluride when he was 12. Once the culture shock wore off, Jim was happy to trade his surfboard for hiking and rock climbing gear, and he never looked back. His family settled in Durango, where Jim’s laid-back personality was solidified.
As a senior engineer at AppliedTrust, Jim focuses mostly on networking and Windows/Unix system administration. He has experience with a variety of network management technologies, including Cisco, Microsoft, Linux and Citrix. Prior to joining AppliedTrust, Jim was a Windows systems administrator at the University of Northern Colorado. Jim has a B.S. in Business with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems from the University of Northern Colorado.
Jim still loves rock climbing and hiking, and he also loves to fly radio-control planes, with plans to start working toward his pilot’s license. In the meantime, he’s become addicted to triathlons and is planning to compete in a half Ironman competition in 2012.
