In line with this goal, the Technical Sales Lead / Client Advocate role is focused primarily on ensuring that we provide our clients with solutions that exactly meet their needs, and for generating and closing new leads. This role will depend heavily on sales experience, excitement about technology and a strong network to begin developing new leads, but the ideal candidate will also have strong capabilities in the following:
- Developing and maintain long-term relationships with highly technical clients and engineers.
- Ensuring open communication between clients and engineers to maximize client satisfaction.
- Generating independent leads as well as pursuing those referred by AppliedTrust engineers.
- Possess and continue to grow a deep understanding of current major technology platforms and solutions related to Infrastructure, Security and Opensource (e.g., Linux, Microsoft/Windows, Networking).
- Comfortable talking to technical individuals about offerings and project scope.
- Having recent experience working as a technical resource or technical sales resource.
- Managing the logistics of the forecasting process.
This position requires the following:
- Experience in the Information Technology sector.
- Focused attention to detail.
- Current IT skills including MS Office 2007/2010 and familiarity with current technologies such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
- Experience working in a paperless office environment and using tools such as ticketing systems to track efforts.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in a sales administration or client service capacity.
- Strong technical writing skills and excellent copy writing/proofing skills.
