We’re not IBM. We’re not Apple. We’re not E&Y or KPMG. We’re not a large, publicly traded company who answer to outside shareholders. We aren’t interested in spending our weeks flying across the country away from home, working on uninspiring projects with people we will never see again. We aren’t a company with middle managers, an HR department, an accounting department…we don’t have any departments. We’re different. So what are we?
We are passionate about technology. We make thing work, and help others be awesome. We are in love with what we do, and we enjoy working with each other. We are creative, and we bring the awesome sauce to the table. We are small and want to stay that way. We are strong and nimble, and everyone is a key player – we have no bit parts. We are able to turn on a dime, and set our own direction. We are shareholders in our privately held company, and we are all responsible for our direction and our success. We make our office what we want it to be. We are based in Boulder, Colorado where our backyard is our playground. We are AppliedTrust. We help clients maximize their IT investment in the areas of Infrastructure, Security, and Opensource while fostering a great workplace and a commitment to building a strong company of peers.
Are you right for AppliedTrust? Are we right for you? We are looking for a very special type of person to join us, and we call this person an Infrastructure Engineer. This person is smart, and loves challenging problems. If something’s difficult or seemingly impossible, that just makes them try harder. They are always learning, and every new challenge helps them grow. They work well in teams, with clients, and alone. They can take a small request or list of issues and make magic happen. They see when things are broken, whether technology or process, and they fix it. They don’t say no and they aren’t above certain tasks. They’re great communicators, and can interact easily with technical and business professionals alike. They might be stuck in very defined role today, working at a sedentary pace with limited scope to flex their technological and problem solving muscle. If you’re wondering if IT can be something different and you think this sounds like you, we think we can show you something better.
We do a lot of fun work and work with some amazing clients. It’s hard to list everything you will do as an Infrastructure Engineer, but some core skills, requirements and functions of this position include:
- Providing technical leadership on a variety of projects involving all aspects of IT infrastructure including Windows, UNIX, Linux, and networking.
- Staying up-to-date on industry developments and current events in our space.
