PHP/LAMP Application Engineer
AppliedTrust is seeking a LAMP/PHP Application Engineer with several years of hands-on experience to support its continued growth into application development and deployment, building upon the strong foundations of infrastructure, security and opensource experience developed over almost ten years in business. The ideal candidate will possess a hunger to learn and a can-do attitude, and will have a track record that illustrates progressively more responsibility and supports advancement from an entry level position to the next stage of technical and professional growth as an Application Engineer.
This position will require a development foundation but will be heavily oriented toward building web-based applications using platforms such as Drupal. Key characteristics and responsibilities of this position include:
- A deep understanding of PHP and the entire LAMP stack including real world experience deploying and supporting applications.
- Familiarity with best practice release management methods and other key concepts (SDLC, secure coding practices.)
- The ability to interpret requirements (in technical and non-technical formats), respond to feedback and adapt to meet fluid requirements with a positive attitude.
- Experience provisioning and supporting production services in an enterprise environment is desirable.
- Motivation, strong critical thinking skills and a can-do attitude are essential.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and manage your own workload.
- Possess a keen grasp of the practices and the importance of change management.
- Experience working with CMSs such as Drupal would be highly advantageous.
