Applied Trust Consultant Earns ITIL V3 Certification
BOULDER, Colo. – [December 11, 2009] – Applied Trust Consultant Terry Morreale has earned the ITIL V3 Foundation Certification, demonstrating her competence in understanding the concepts used within ITIL, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library.
“We’re extremely proud of Terry’s efforts to achieve this certification,” noted Trent R. Hein, Applied Trust’s CEO. “As the industry standard in terms of process, service and lifecycle management for IT, this certification is another prime example of the breadth and depth of expertise that Applied Trust provides to its clients on an everyday basis.”
The Foundation Certification focuses on basic knowledge with regard to the ITIL Service Support and Service Delivery sets, as well as generic ITIL philosophy and background. It is a prerequisite for the Practitioner's and Manager's Certificates in IT Service Management.
ITIL is a series of documents originally created in the 1980s by the Office of Government Commerce, a governmental department in United Kingdom. These documents are used to help implement an efficient framework for IT Service Management (ITSM).
The 'ITIL framework' defines how to organize the system and network management departments within individual organizations. The concepts within ITIL support IT service providers in the planning of consistent, documented, and repeatable processes that improve service delivery to the business.
In addition to the ITIL V3 Foundation Certification, Morreale also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) Gold certifications.
