Randy’s core expertise in building infrastructure that's flexible, scalable, reliable, and manageable comes from real-world “in the trenches” experience, including having been responsible for day-to-day engineering operations at Colorado Supernet and the Colorado Internet Cooperative Association during his 10 years at XOR, Inc. before joining AppliedTrust in 2002. That experience serves him well in his current role as Director of Infrastructure Engineering at AppliedTrust, where he specializes in network architecture and implementing high performance, high availability environments securely. Randy is also one of AppliedTrust's lead Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessors (PCI QSA), helping to assess organizations’ compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and mitigate any areas of weakness. The scope of his expertise is testament to his passion for tackling tough problems and implementing creative solutions to solve them.
Randy holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. When not at work, Randy enjoys riding his road and mountain bikes, skiing, and working on his home IT infrastructure.
