With more than a decade of history, AppliedTrust is a Colorado company that thrives because of our dedication to our clients and our community. Because our clients rely on us to be there 7x24, we have outfitted our 10,000 square feet of office space in downtown Boulder with infrastructure focused on providing high availability for both bits and people, including a 60KW diesel generator, three diverse upstream network connections, and redundant cooling. Our staff is highly credentialed, with experience in a vast set of technologies and industries.
One of AppliedTrust's founding principles is to give back to the community in which we operate, and for us that's the IT community as well as the community of Boulder. Our engineers give back to the IT community by speaking at conferences, authoring technical books, conducting webcasts, and writing articles for outside publications as well as our blog, The Barking Seal. We also sponsor nonprofit IT organizations, such as the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Foundation, the National Center for Women in Technology, the Drupal Association, and events, including DrupalCamp Colorado and TEDxBoulder. Twice a month we host the Denver/Boulder Drupal User Group (DBUG) meetup, and every month we sponsor the Denver/Boulder DrupalChix meetup.
As for the Boulder community, AppliedTrust is a Business Partner under Boulder County's "Culture of Giving" initiative, a joint effort of The Community Foundation and other Boulder businesses. As a Business Partner, we are committed to giving 2 percent or more of our pre-tax profits annually to the nonprofit(s) of our choice. One way in which we fulfill this is by sponsoring local charitable events, including our annual sponsorship of, and participation in, the Humane Society of Boulder Valley's "Cause for Paws" event each September. Another way is our holiday giving program, in which we make donations to a set of local charities in the name of our clients and friends.
