Enterprise Architecture

Running an IT shop without a plan is like constructing a building without blueprints: It results in an incongruent medley of ineffective layers on an unstable foundation. Enterprise architecture provides the fundamental building blocks from which the tactical and operational duties of the technical team can be built. Applied Trust will gather input and feedback from key members of the organization and interactively develop an architectural technical strategy and corresponding governance process to build the environment correctly from the ground up.

Consider, for example, the variety of database platforms in your environment. Are the vendors and versions standardized? What underlying storage is used, and is it consistent between systems? What steps are taken to integrate a new application or system that relies on a back-end database? If the answers to these questions aren’t clear, it may be time to consider a new approach.

Working with Applied Trust, you’ll be able to take control over IT solutions. We’ll work with you to understand your organization and the problems that information technology solves. We’ll dig relentlessly to discover where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re going. We’ll document the organization’s approach (at a high level) to architecting storage, networks, systems, and application infrastructure. We rely on industry-standard approaches such as the Zachman Framework and the Technical Architecture Framework for Information Management to guide our collective efforts, but we always provide custom solutions to solve your unique problems.
